We are so excited to start the season soon! Jamboree is happening this Saturday, August 24th, 2024, at Parkside Elementary Field. It is a time for players to meet their teammates and coaches. ‘AYSO PLAY!’ coaches will be on hand to get the kids out on the field, play age-appropriate soccer skill games, and build excitement for the upcoming soccer season!
Parents, this is also your chance to pick up your uniforms, ensuring your kids are ready to kick off the season in style!
The schedule for Saturday for the different divisions is as follows:
- 6U & 8U boys & girls: 10 AM arrival; 10:10 - 10:40 soccer session with AYSO Play coaches; 10:45 meet with coach/team
- 10U boys & girls: 11 AM arrival; 11:10 - 11:40 soccer session with AYSO Play coaches; 11:45 meet with coach/team
- Upper girls & boys: 12 PM arrival; 12:10 - 12:40 soccer session with AYSO Play coaches; 12:45 meet with coach/team
- 5U & 3 For Free programs will not need to attend the Jamboree Saturday. They will meet coaches on the first game of the season, Saturday, September 14th, 2024. Uniform pickup for 3 for Free and 5U will be scheduled and shared before the season starts.
- From 1 PM to 2 PM, Right after the Jamboree, AYSO PLAY! coaches will host a mini coach clinic and demonstrate how to manage and run a practice session. Coaches interested in learning how to organize a practice and get some practice session ideas are encouraged to stay after the Jamboree.
If you have kids in multiple age groups, you can pick up the uniform during any session; however, participation in the soccer Jamboree with AYSO Play coaches can only be done during the designated time slot.
If you can't attend the Jamboree, we'll provide other uniform pickup options or deliver the uniforms to your coach during the first two weeks of practice before the first game.
📢 Parents, you recently received an email about coaching needs in your player's division, and we're reaching out to urge you to step up — WE NEED YOU!
We've never had to cancel an age division or turn players away due to a lack of coaches, and we want to keep it that way. Coaching is a rewarding experience, and your involvement is vital to ensuring all our players have a fantastic season. We will provide multiple opportunities to train you in person and online—no prior soccer experience is necessary!
Important: All coaches or those interested in coaching will meet with coach administrators and other board members during the kids' practice times at Jamboree. You'll receive essential information and ensure you're properly registered in our system. Your support makes a huge difference, so please consider joining our team! Oh, and our new partnership with Mojo Sports will make your practice session preparation a breeze (more info is coming next week).
