“Whew! I’ve Registered, Now What?”

Whew! I’ve registered!
Now what happens?

What are the next steps?

August 11th: Registration ends

After August 11th: Regional Board assembles teams

Around August 23rd : Parents receive email notification about their player’s team allocation.

August 24th: Soccer Jamboree where you meet your coaches & teammates

August 25th-September 3rd: Coaches welcome players to the team

On or after September 3rd: Teams may begin practice

September 14th: First game

How are the teams formed?

The Regional Board is committed to ensuring all teams are well-balanced. Coaches rate players' skills from previous seasons, and AYSO uses this information along with considerations of coaches' and players' preferred practice days, with an emphasis on creating balanced teams. Please note that practice day preferences provided during registration are not guaranteed to be accommodated. AYSO Atlanta Region does not honor coach or teammate requests.

How to order a replacement jersey?

If reusing a uniform and need a replacement later, there is a $20 fee. The same fee applies if you indicated no uniform at registration and circumstances change or if you made an incorrect choice. Email us to request a replacement jersey or new kit.

If you requested a new uniform at registration, kits will be distributed at the Jamboree or through your coach on the first practice day.

It’s after August 25th, and my child has not been notified of their practice day. What do I do?

Not all teams begin practice at the same time. If your child has not been notified by September 3rd, please check our website for practice schedule first. You may also email our league at [email protected].

What else does my child need?

The registration fee includes a complete uniform (jersey, shorts, socks – unless you are reusing your uniform), supplemental accident insurance, team and individual pictures, and an end-of-season award. In addition, you will need to obtain shoes, shin guards, a soccer ball (size depends on age), and a water bottle for your child.
