AYSO Area 5G and your Region are committed to providing soccer that’s fun…and focused on player development.
Here’s an opportunity that's quick and focused to complete required age-specific Coach training:
You will do your classroom portion online beforehand, and we will do the field sessions on Saturday.
Already Certified to coach the team you'll have this season? Use this as a Coaching Clinic to get dialed in, exchange coaching ideas,
and just get to know the coaches you'll be working with. Come share your knowledge and lessons-learned with your colleagues in the class.
What: AYSO Coach Certification Field Sessions for 6U - 12U
When: Saturday, September 7
10:00am - 11:30 6u and 8u
12:30 pm - 2:00 10u
12:30 pm - 2:30 12u
How:
STEP 1: Complete the online course for the division you will coach
Go to your account in your Region website (where you registered as a Volunteer), click your Volunteer Role, then click the AYSOU button to go to your training login.
Take the online Coach course for the level you will be coaching this season BEFORE you come to the in-person class.
STEP 2: Register for the field session if you are taking 10u or 12u Coach
After logon in AYSOU, go to the Training Event icon at the bottom left. Select the course level you need on September 7, 2024 in Atlanta or search by region (Region 1612).
Note: It's essential that you register in AYSOU to receive certification. The training event numbers are:

This Course focuses on tactical coaching and conducting effective field sessions.
You will be working out. Dress for the weather and soccer (not jeans and flipflops) and bring:
- soccer or running shoes
- a soccer ball for the age you will be coaching (Size 3 or 4)
- water bottle
- questions, problems, ideas, favorite skill games
- your child (registered player) in the age division you are coaching, dressed for soccer (shinguards and shoes)
