In order for us to run an uninterrupted season, it’s imperative that all coaches focus on social distancing and limiting “Close Contact Exposure” during training sessions and matches. “Close Contact Exposure” is defined as, “a person who was closer than 6ft from someone for 15 minutes or longer and tested positive for COVID-19”. The key point being that the person who tested positive was un-masked during this exposure period.
In light of the recent Delta variant, and it's contagious nature, we ask that you be especially mindful of social distancing when watching practice and matches, and that you kindly mask up even if vaccinated.
With the main focus on limiting “Close Contact Exposure” for players and coaches, these measures are most important and must be followed at all times.
- Coaches must wear masks at all times while on the sidelines
- Players must wear masks anytime they are not participating in soccer activities
- To/from the field
- Pre/halftime/post-match talks
- On the bench during matches
- Social distance whenever players are not participating in soccer activities
- Limit carpooling whenever possible
- Limit physical contact –high fives, fist bumps, hugs, etc.
- Do not attend training or matches if you exhibit any symptoms
- Do not attend training or matches if you have had “Close Contact Exposure” to someone who tested positive for COVID-19
We will be following all State of Georgia and City of Atlanta mandates.
